Chelsea plot to hijack Man Utd move for €80m Barcelona star

The Blues are interested in rivaling Manchester United for the transfer of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

Chelsea hope to reinforce their midfield for the upcoming season. They’re in direct talks with Barcelona over Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta. A swap deal involving the defenders and De Jong is possible. At the moment, Barca want a guaranteed fee of €80 million for the 25-year-old Dutchman.
