Didier Deschamps gave an injury update on Manchester United’s Anthony Martial ahead of France’s World Cup qualifier on Wednesday.

Didier Deschamps has provided information regarding Anthony Martial’s injury ahead of France’s game against Bosnia-Herzegovina.

During last weekend’s fixture against Kazakhstan, the Manchester United striker was taken off the field due to a knee problem. Les Blues ended up winning the game 2-0.

According to Deschamps, Martial will not be able to star in France’s last World Cup qualifier match before the international break ends. However, the head coach refuses to believe that the 25-year-old forward will have to rest for a long time.

This means good news for all the Manchester United fans all over the world as he should be back to the squad soon.

Deschamps spoke at a pre-match press conference: “Anthony has a small issue on his knee. Nothing is decided yet [as to whether he can face Bosnia-Herzegovina].”

“He won’t be taking part in the training session a bit later. We’ll see tomorrow (Wednesday). Anything serious has been dismissed.”

“We’ve run some tests, but there’s still the pain, and having travelled as long as we have, that hasn’t helped.”
