Could the Blues win a double this season? Things are going well under a new manager, and Chilwell sees no reason to think otherwise.

Ben Chilwell believes it’s “100% possible” Chelsea can win the Champions League and FA Cup this season.

A 14-match unbeaten run under new manager Thomas Tuchel, which has included 10 wins and 12 clean sheets, has transformed Chelsea’s prospects.

The Blues were down in 10th-place in the Premier League when Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard on January 26. Only 56 days later, however, the club sit up in fourth place. A Champions League quarter-final tie against Porto awaits, while Chelsea also recently beat Sheffield United 2-0 to book an FA Cup semi-final meeting with Manchester City.

Confidence is flying high at Stamford Bridge, with Christian Pulisic even claiming the squad feel like they can beat any club. And it appears Chilwell is in an equally buoyant mood.

“It’s 100 per cent possible,” he told the Telegraph on Chelsea’s chances of winning the Champions League and FA Cup.

“We’re in both competitions and playing well, but it’s not something we’re talking about.

“I think it’s in the back of everyone’s minds but at the moment – I know it’s cliched – we’re just taking it week by week and the manager’s indicated to us what we need to do.

“We have to keep improving in training and going into every match with the same mindset that we have been.”

The English full-back will return to action for Chelsea on April 4 for a Premier League match at home to West Brom once the international break ends.
