The Red Devils faithful have come up with a song for the No. 7, who has entered into his second season at the club.

Edinson Cavani seems impressed with the brand new chant the Manchester United supporters have prepared for him.

Cavani enjoyed a productive debut season at Manchester United arriving on a free transfer last summer.

The striker scored 17 goals through 39 appearances, with 10 of those goals coming in the Premier League, six in the Europa League, and one in the Football League Cup.

In May, he extended his stay at the club by a further year to put an end to rumors linking him with a move back to his native South America.

The Uruguay international did not feature in United’s Premier League opener against Leeds United but he did get a show of support from the returning fans, who debuted a brand new chant for him.

The lyrics are as follows:
“I am in love, I can’t deny, our number seven is the king of Uruguay,
El Matador, who could that be, first name’s Edinson his second’s Cavani!
Ooooooh, Oooooohhhhhh.”

Cavani, who is yet to experience playing in front of a full house at Old Trafford, uploaded a video of the fans signing his chant on Instagram with the caption: “Thanks for the affection”

Man United resume Premier League action on the weekend by playing Southampton, and Cavani’s availability for the trip to St. Mary’s remains a doubt.
