The Portuguese superstar has become a free agent since leaving Manchester United earlier this winter.

Carlo Ancelotti believes Cristiano Ronaldo should avoid a move to Saudi Arabia this January.

Manchester United terminated Ronaldo’s contract after an explosive interview just before the 2022 World Cup.

The 37-year-old has returned to Real Madrid’s training ground, preparing to resume his club career by joining a new club in January.

Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr has emerged as Ronaldo’s most likely destination. But Ancelotti believes his former player can’t satisfy his ambitions at the Saudi Pro League.

“I don’t know what he will do in his future,” the Real Madrid boss told Radio Anch’io Sport. “He is still very competitive, he wants to compete at the highest level, and I don’t think the Arab world can be suitable for him in this regard.”

Asked about the comparisons between Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Ancelotti added: “This duel gave them both motivations.

“In recent years, they have been the main players in the world of football, playing great and scoring many goals.

Messi closes his career with the World Cup, and CR7 closes it differently, but it was extraordinary anyway. Especially here, in Madrid, he will remain forever in the hearts of the fans.”
