The 43-year-old shot-stopper is being courted by other clubs as he contemplates whether to prolong his already extended playing career.

Gianluigi Buffon reveals there are some “interesting offers” on his table, with the goalkeeper having decided to part ways with Juventus.

Buffon announced on Thursday he will not renew his contract with Juventus – a club he has been at for about two decades now – beyond this summer. However, he is still reluctant to hang up his gloves.

He has played a bit-part role at the Allianz Stadium this term, limited to only 13 appearances across all competitions, with Wojciech Szczesny being the first choice for the position between the sticks.

The Italian, who spent the 2018-19 season at Paris Saint-Germain, is being linked with a move to FC Barcelona, with the Catalan club looking to provide extra cover for their No.1 Marc Andre ter Stegen.

The former Parma man, though, will wait before deciding to take on a new challenge.

Buffon told DAZN: “I’ve received some interesting offers, I want to see in 20 days if I will still have the enthusiasm and desire to work hard.

“If I still feel to be Buffon, I’ll accept the offer. Otherwise, I will retire.”
