An argument on the pitch spilled into Bayern’s dressing room after the Champions League game.
Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane reportedly engaged in a dressing room fight after Bayern Munich’s 3-0 defeat against Manchester City.
An uninspiring performance from the Bavarians saw City take a big step toward reaching the semi-finals. Mane, who had a dressing room confrontation with Julian Nagelsmann before his sacking, replaced Jamal Musiala in the 69th minute.
According to Bild, a poorly-timed run from Mane in the 83rd minute triggered the argument between him and Sane. The German international got mad and shouted at his teammate.
Another report from Sky Sport’s Florian Plettenberg also confirms the dressing room bust-up between the two Bayern stars.
Mane reportedly insulted Sane before punching him in the face. Bayern teammates had to separate the two forwards as their disappointing night at Etihad was completed by the incident.
Bayern’s hierarchy have come under fire for their unexpected decision to sack Julian Nagelsmann mid-season. The team is struggling to regain their rhythm under Thomas Tuchel, who vowed to improve Bayern’s out-of-form stars.
Mane has failed to live up to expectations since his summer move from Liverpool, while the likes of Serge Gnabry and Sane have stayed far from their best form at the club.
