Sergio Aguero was taken to hospital after leaving the pitch against Alaves on Saturday.
In his first start for Barcelona at Camp Nou, Sergio Aguero was forced off the pitch forty minutes into the game.
After a clash inside Alaves’ box, Aguero held his chest while having difficulty breathing. The club announced later that he was taken to a nearby hospital after the incident, undergoing cardiac tests.
According to SPORT, the tests have indicated that Aguero has a “cardiac arrhythmia”. The severity of the problem is not determined yet, with the 33-year-old undergoing further tests.
Aguero started his Barcelona career with an injury that postponed his debut until October 17. The former Manchester City striker scored for Barcelona in their El Clasico defeat last week. However, the new fitness problem might prevent the Argentine from integrating quickly into Barca’s squad.
