Ahead of the 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifying games, Arsenal young sensation received his first senior team call-up for England.

Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe has earned his first senior England call-up for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Actually, the 21-year-old was ready to join up the Three Lions’ Under-21 squad but instead moved with Gareth Southgate’s senior team at St. George’s Park.

There is no doubt that Smith Rowe has been the driving force for Arsenal this season. He has racked all of the Gunners’ Premier League encounters and scored his third consecutive goal in Sunday’s 1-0 against Watford.

On the other hand, Manchester United duo Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw, Chelsea’s Mason Mount and Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse were not seen for England duty due to fitness problems.

England will host Albania at Wembley on Friday before a trip to San Marino three days later. Southgate and his men are definitive of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, with three points clear of Poland and two games in hand.

With four points required from their final two games, Smith Rowe will be a crucial part of Southgate’s plans for the Three Lions.
