Already an important member of the Gunners squad, the English starlet is fast becoming an indispensable figure in their line-up.

Emile Smith Rowe intends to remain at Arsenal until the end of his career.

Smith Rowe has been at Arsenal since he was nine years old but only became a regular first-team player last season.

The 20-year-old was one of the very few silver linings in a torrid 2020-21 season for the Gunners wherein they failed to secure European football qualification after finishing 8th in the Premier League table.

Impressed with his performances, the Gunners tied down the attacking midfielder with a new five-year contract in July.

Asked if he’d stay at Arsenal for the rest of his career, Smith Rowe told the Evening Standard: “I hope so, I definitely hope so.

“If Arsenal want me for the rest of my career, then I am going to stay here forever. It is always difficult [to stay at one club for your career], but for me personally I’d love to be here forever.

“For me it was easy [to sign a new contract with Arsenal]. Obviously it didn’t look like that from the outside, it looked quite difficult.

“For me, playing for Arsenal, growing up an Arsenal fan and my family around me, it was easy. Growing up in London, I didn’t want to move out of London. It was probably one of the easiest decisions I’ve made.”
