Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos has reacted to reports he was involved in a training ground brawl with David Luiz.

Arsenal have been quick to deny reports Dani Ceballos and David Luiz were both involved in a heated clash in training last week.

In an exclusive reported by The Athletic, tensions seemingly reached boiling point in training last week during the international break.

A number of players remained at Arsenal for Arteta to work ahead of their Premier League clash against Leeds on Sunday.

Luiz and Ceballos were among those who were training in a small group.

The Brazilian is said to have reacted angrily to a challenge from Ceballos before allegedly punching his teammate in the face with a scratch drawing blood.

Teammates reportedly had to step in to separate the two players before they were sent home early.

The small group was given the weekend off before returning to training on Tuesday where Luiz and Ceballos both apologized to their teammates.

However, Ceballos was quick to dismiss the reports as ‘fake’ after making the claim on his Twitter account yesterday evening.

And now, Mikel Arteta has also confirmed he knows nothing of any bust-up that happened in training.

In a statement on the club website, the Gunners boss said of the alleged fight between Ceballos and Luiz.

“Nothing. Training is very competitive and issues happen a lot of the time, but those things get resolved immediately within the team. There’s not much to say.”

Asked whether there’s an issue between the two, he replied “No problem at all.”

The Arsenal boss also claimed he didn’t see anything happen between the two players.

“No. I’ve got a really bad vision from far away! That’s why we train behind closed doors.”

It won’t be the first time Ceballos has reportedly been involved in a situation similar to this.
