Real Madrid’s summer transfer plans could strongly benefit Arsenal. Martin Odegaard and Dani Ceballos are on loan from Los Blancos.

Arsenal can count themselves lucky if latest reports making the rounds prove to be accurate.

It is no news that Erling Haaland is perhaps the most wanted man in football right now. The player’s agent, Mino Raiola, took Haaland’s dad to Spain yesterday. Barcelona and Real Madrid were allowed to discuss and present their projects for the Borussia Dortmund superstar.

If that isn’t enough, Raiola and Haaland’s father will also sit down and discuss with representatives of four Premier League sides.

How does this help Arsenal? Well, Borussia Dortmund will reportedly demand for no less than 150m for Haaland if he is to be sold this summer. With that in mind, Real Madrid will need to raise funds for such a move and that is where Odegaard comes in.

The 22-year-old  is midway through a six-month loan at Arsenal and his stock has risen considerably in recent weeks.

The attacking midfielder scored vital goals against Olympiacos and Tottenham, and helped the Gunners stage a remarkable comeback at West Ham.

Mikel Arteta is understood to want to sign Odegaard permanently and the 22-year-old is said to be keen on the move.

But there were doubts over Real Madrid’s stance on letting him leave, with Los Blancos seemingly determined to keep the player they signed at the age of 16.

In a latest twist, The Times claim that Madrid have now clarified their stance and are resigned to selling Odegaard this summer.

The reports adds Dani Ceballos – who is also on loan at Arsenal – as another name on the transfer list.

If that isn’t enough, Mbappe might also be available for a cut-price and Real Madrid could be tempted to move for the Frenchman if they can’t get Haaland.

However it may be, Real Madrid need funds and that could play well for Arsenal and Martin Odegaard. Although, it remains to be seen if the Gunners would be interested in taking Ceballos on a permanent move.
