During a recent interview, Nicolas Anelka had some advice directed to Kylian Mbappe about Lionel Messi’s arrival to Paris Saint-Germain.

Nicolas Anelka has an idea he probably wants to float towards Kylian Mbappe about his time at PSG alongside Leo Messi. Even though the youngster was probably excited about the idea of playing alongside the Argentine. It’s also possible he wants most of the attention to himself at this point of his career. After all, Mbappe is definitely one of the most exciting players in the world right now. He might even be above the likes of Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of his current level of skill.

But Kylian also needs to understand that Messi came to PSG to be the club’s biggest star. If he can’t cope with that, then it’s probably a good idea to leave as soon as possible. However, Anelka still thinks Mbappe should claim his position as PSG’s best player despite what Messi thinks. Advice like this is what can sometimes get into a player’s head and mess with their psyche. It’s never safe to stroke an athlete’s ego in this fashion.

Anelka ill advice to Kylian Mbappe.

It happened during an interview with Le Parisien, with Anelka talking about Mbappe’s value at PSG. This is starting to look like a preparation for the youngster’s inevitable exit from the club. As of right now, he still keeps rejecting any offer to renew his contract. This is what Anelka said: “Mbappe has to lead the attack because he’s No.1. Messi was at Barcelona, but now he has to serve Mbappe. He’s been at the club for five years and Messi has to respect him.” “He’s a phenomenal player in terms of his speed, there’s no one better on the planet,” Anelka said.

“If Paris want to have the best team, they have to do everything they can to keep him. But I think it’s very clear in Kylian’s head. He wants to see something else, and that makes sense. He’s dreaming of the Ballon d’Or, and how can he win it if he’s playing in the sixth-best league by UEFA coefficient? If Kylian had been in England or Spain for the last three years, he would have already won the Ballon d’Or.”
