After their very public disagreement, Mauricio Pochettino discussed this moment between Neymar and Mbappe ahead of tomorrow.

During PSG’s previous Ligue 1 match against Montpellier, Kylian Mbappe was spotted talking trash about Neymar not passing him the ball. There is video where he clearly calls the Brazilian an ‘idiot’ and reports of them having a heated argument. After the match, it has been reported that they had a conversation about this. Today, Mauricio Pochettino discussed this matter before Manchester City’s visit to Paris for tomorrow’s Champions League match.

As it turns out, Mbappe’s attitude is always linked to his giant thirst for victory. When he got off the pitch against Montpellier, Mbappe wasn’t happy for not getting balls from Neymar. Clearly, he thinks he is currently in top form and his talents are being wasted. But the gaffer discussed this matter during today’s press conference ahead of the Champions League activity.

Pochettino doesn’t mind these arguments.

This is what Pochettino told the press about Neymar and Mbappe via the club’s website: “They are fantastic guys. These things happen. There are always things between top players, they are competitors who want to win and help the team. These things happen and I have spoken to them today individually and they have also spoken to each other. In training, they were laughing.

“Their target is to win and help the team achieve so if there is a small incident sometimes that can create a big wave that is actually all talk outside the squad. In reality it is a minor problem. It is really nothing. I don’t know who’s going to start yet. It takes time to work and evolve in different conditions. That they get to know each other so that they can play well together. Everyone is under pressure. The most important thing is that we are happy with the team. We need a little time. The players need to feel free to evolve properly.”
