Head coach Massimiliano Allegri is facing a difficult season with Juventus with injuries adding more worry for the Italian boss.
Massimiliano Allegri offered an important update on Juventus star Weston McKennie’s injury amid a struggling season in the Italy top-flight.
The USMNT striker limped off the field during Bianconeri’s Serie A clash against Atalanta on Sunday. McKennie has displayed incredible confidence in his latest encounters with the club as well as his country.
Unfortunately, the 23-year-old got hit on his knee and was forced to visit the medical room as he collided with Berat Djimsiti from the opposition.
In spite of a quick medical checkup on the field, McKennie was substituted by Moise Kean in the 64th minute.
Ahead of Juve’s next outing against Salernitana on Tuesday, Allegri discussed the fitness of his players. He told of the American: “For McKennie, it should be a small thing.”
The Juventus boss also talked about Federico Chiesa, who has been out injured until January due to muscle damage during the same game last weekend.
Allegri said: “Chiesa is already writing a letter to Santa Claus. We will see him again after the holidays.”
