Time and again the big Swede proves that age is just a number for him as he marks his return to action with yet another goal.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic “never gets old,” said Stefano Pioli after his star striker helped AC Milan seal a 2-0 victory over Lazio in Serie A.

Ibrahimovic came off the bench at the hour-mark in Sunday’s match at San Siro to make his first appearance in four months for Milan after recovering from a nasty knee injury he had suffered against Juventus back in May.

The 39-year-old wasted no time to get on the scoresheet, scoring within just seven minutes after entering into the pitch by tapping the ball into an unguarded net after getting on the end of Ante Rebic’s low cross.

Rafael Leao had put the Rossoneri on the front foot at the stroke of half-time, and the Sweden international ensured his side make it three wins out of three in the 2021-22 Serie A season.

“Ibrahimovic never gets old and he has great passion, a fire burning inside him,” Pioli told after the full-time whistle, speaking to DAZN.

“He competes to win, he always trains to the maximum and he does so with pleasure. When you are like that you do not feel the years go by.”
