A Red Devils icon is aware of the Uruguayan marksman’s impact in the team but warns he could be on his way out at the end of the season.

Paul Ince “can see” Edinson Cavani quitting Manchester United in the summer amid the growing speculations on the striker’s future.

Cavani has been heavily linked with a move to Argentine side Boca Juniors, after less than six months of joining Man United in a free transfer.

It has been suggested by his father that the 34-year-old is discontent with life in England and is eyeing a return to South America with the intention of being “closer to his family”.

Amid all the exit talks, the forward recently dropped a hint that he is committed to United by uploading a picture of himself in club’s colors on social media with the captaion: “Proud to wear this shirt”.

Despite that, Ince is of the view that the former Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli man could seek a new challenge this summer.

Ince told talkSPORT: “Cavani has come in and he’s been a revelation.

“Whether he decides to stay or not I don’t know. When you look at the team against Manchester City and how they played he might be thinking ‘well, is this the way they’re going to go next year, am I going to get as many games? I’m not getting any younger’.

“I can see him going. All this social media stuff has not gone down well, it’s a little bit pathetic to be fair, and I can see why Cavani is a little upset about it.

“All the angles look like he will go, but hopefully he’ll leave with a few more goals in the back of the net for United.”
