Tottenham faced Wolfsberger this Wednesday afternoon in London for the Europa League’s second leg. We have the player ratings.

Tottenham thrashed Wolfsberger in the Europa League’s Round of 32 with a 8-1 result over the two legs. Although the Austrian side tried to prevent the Spurs from dominating the game, Tottenham’s individual efforts made a difference this Wednesday.

The game started with what will surely be the one of the best goals of the round, although there are many fixtures to come. Dele Alli proved Mourinho was right to hand him another chance and delivered a fantastic perfomance. In fact, Alli started his match with a tremendous bicycle kick goal that you’ll need to see more than once.

Jose Mourinho and his team couldn’t have asked for a better start to the second half. A wonderful play from the London club, featuring a perfect Dele Alli assist and a great header from Benfica loanee Carlos Vinicius.

Vintage Bale strikes again in the Europa League

Additionally, Tottenham scored the third goal of the night through the feet of two of their biggest outcasts. In fact, this goal had everything to please a Spurs fan: another Dele Alli assist to a wonderful ice-cool finish from Gareth Bale. Before being substituted, Alli played a huge role in all of Tottenham’s goals. Therefore, both of the players are bound for more game time and opportunities in the Premier League.

Nevertheless, Mourinho’s men weren’t done yet. Taking advantage of a fragile Wolfsberger, 16-year-old Dane Scarlett recovered the ball in the last third of the pitch and gave Vinicius the chance to complete his brace with a powerful strike.

Tottenham are now the first team to make through to the Europa League’s Round of 16 and will now wait for this Thursday’s clashes to check out their possible opponents.
