Juventus are reportedly assessing the possibility of landing in-demand Udinese midfielder Rodrigo De Paul as Andrea Pirlo looks to put his own stamp on his squad.
Pirlo is hopeful to be granted permission to reshape the squad that has once again failed to deliver in the Champions League and sees De Paul as a valuable addition to his team.
Juventus are on the lookout for a half-winger, the one able to drive through the opposition defenses and explore space between the lines.
With Blaise Matuidi on his way out of Turin, the ‘Bianconeri’ have opted to accelerate their interest in highly-rated De Paul, per the Black & White & ReadAllOver.
De Paul has gained a reputation for being one of the best attacking midfielders in Italy’s top-flight after showing the capability of providing top-notch performances week in, week out.
The 26-year-old attacking-minded midfielder has been Udinese’s standout performer ever since joining from Valencia in 2016.
Only last season, he clocked up seven goals and six assists to help the ‘Friulians’ secure a mid-table finish following a dismal start to their Serie A campaign.
Heavily linked with a move to a bigger club over the past couple of years, De Paul has emerged as a target for AC Milan, Napoli, and Inter Milan.
But, the lure of playing for the most successful club in Italy might be too tempting to resist if the opportunity presents itself in the summer.
