The big Swede is set to make his long-awaited return from injury in Milan’s Serie A clash with Torino.
AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli has recalled Zlatan Ibrahimovic into his 24-man squad for the upcoming match against Torino on Saturday night.
The Rossoneri have been without Zlatan since the striker sustained a thigh injury against Napoli on November 22. He has since missed the club’s last eight Serie A games, including their midweek 3-1 loss to Juventus.
But, on the back of suffering a first defeat of the season, the 39-year-old is back and intent on restoring Milan to winning ways. It’s not clear if he’ll start against Torino, but his return is a huge boost all the same.
Hakan Calhanoglu, who suffered an ankle injury against Juventus, has also made the squad. Alexis Saelemaekers, Matteo Gabbia, and Ismael Bennacer are all out injured, while Rade Krunic and Ante Rebic both tested positive for COVID-19 this week.
