Zlatan Ibrahimovic can break two different records during AC Milan’s match against Spezia on Saturday evening.
The 39-year-old striker needs only one goal to surpass Silvio Piola’s record from 1951/52 as the oldest Serie A player to score at least 15 goals in a season, according to Football-Italia.
The second record up for grabs is in becoming the first player in the 21st century to score against 80 different clubs in a top-five European division. Zlatan, of course, has played in Serie A, Ligue 1, and the Premier League across his career.
The former Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain star will also have one eye on his goal tally. He sits just two goals behind the league’s top-scorer Cristiano Ronaldo, despite having played six games fewer than the Juventus ace.
Spezia, meanwhile, will make their debut under their new American owner Robert Platek.
