Zidane hypes up his players before facing Chelsea

Ahead of a crucial semifinal against Chelsea, Zinedine Zidane wanted to consider his players’ achievements until this moment.

Zinedine Zidane already deserves a lot of credit for what Real Madrid has done until this second semifinal leg against Chelsea. As the team got into a complicated season due to injuries, nobody believed they had what it took to go far in the tournament. But today, they are just a victory away from another Champions League final. Plus, they are still getting results that might end with them winning the Spanish La Liga by the end of the season.

As it’s usual with Zidane, he refuses to take any type of credit for these achievements. In his mind, the players are the ones responsible for everything that’s happened to the squad so far. The Blues will be another major test for Los Blancos in their quest for success.

As per AS, this is what Zidane said about his players: “We’ve come with many difficulties but still, hats off with this team. It has character before anything else and they always appear when things get complicated. For me, they are the best. We are where we want to be and it is well deserved. Of course we know that this hasn’t been a comfortable or quiet year for us as a team.

But we managed to get through it as we went through many injuries. We are in May and we can still win two tournaments. What’s happened is already in the past. Now we are here and many think we are tired or sored. This is normal but it’s a football match where we are giving 110%. Everybody is going all the way to get that result.”
