Barcelona were not able to win Osasuna despite a few impressive performances by their youngsters.

Osasuna held Barcelona to a 2-2 draw in their La Liga game on Sunday. Barca Youngsters Nicolas Gonzalez and Abdessamad Ezzalzoul scored two goals, but it was not enough to bag the three points.

In a post-match interview, Xavi spoke about the impact of the young players in his squad.

“It is the positive note, but at the same time also negative,” the Spaniard said (via Goal.com).

He added: “The players who are making a difference at the moment at Barca are 17, 18 and 19 years old. It is very positive for the future of the club, but it is also negative – they are so young that they will not always have this level.

“Abde [Ezzalzoul] ‘s game is spectacular, and those of Gavi and Nico, but they cannot be the pillars. Here we have another problem. We have to work and connect everyone”.

Barcelona have been unable to win any of their last three games. The Blaugrana suffered a painful 3-0 defeat against Bayern Munich as they crashed out of the Champions League on Wednesday.

Xavi’s side sit eighth in La Liga with 24 points. The Catalans will face Boca Juniors in the Maradona Cup on Tuesday before meeting Elche four days later.
