Wolverhampton Wanderers faced Leeds United at the Molineux Stadium this Friday night. We have the player ratings.

Wolves managed to surpass Leeds this Friday night after a very open game which really could’ve gone either way. Although Nuno Espirito Santo’s side looked more dangerous throughout the game, Bielsa’s men had a few good chances. In fact, The Peacocks even celebrated another Bamford goal before it was disallowed by VAR.

Despite the lack of goals in the first half, it was a very interesting period with Pedro Neto and Raphinha bringing on some creative flow to the Molineux. In fact, the 20-year-old Portuguese forward had one of best attempts stopped by an inspired Meslier.

However, the goalkeeper was quite unlucky in the second half as Wolves gained the lead. Adama Traore effortlessly left Luke Ayling behind and sent a rocket towards the Leeds goal. Although the ball hit the crossbar, it ended up ricocheting off Meslier and entered the net.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side managed to hold on to the lead by lowering their block. However, the Wanderers still created some chances on the counter-attack. Now, Wolves sit in the 11th spot of the table in the Premier League. In fact, they are closing in on Arsenal who will face Manchester City this Sunday.
