Oscar has revealed that two of his former teammates and compatriots are trying to convince him to join them at the Emirates this summer.

Oscar used to be one of the Premier League’s most celebrated players during his five-year stint at Chelsea.

The attacking midfielder won two league titles, a Football League Cup, and a Europa League at Stamford Bridge while taking in 203 appearances and scoring 38 goals in the Chelsea colors.

The Brazilian currently plies his trade in the Chinese Super League with Shanghai SIPG, having joined them in a €65 million transfer in 2017, and continues to be an important member of his current team.

He recently admitted to receiving requests from his former teammates, David Luiz and Willian, who have now switched allegiance to cross-city rivals Arsenal, regarding a return to Europe.

However, the 29-year old, who has a contract worth €434,000 per week (£400k) until 2024, suggests he plans on honoring his contract to the full.

Oscar told Fox Sports Brasil: “They called me, they had to call me. They said ‘come to Arsenal, come here’.

“But for me, it’s a little more difficult. I have a contract with Shanghai, it’s a little more difficult to leave. Willian had finished his contract.

“I was happy that they got together again. And happy that Willian is happy. The most important thing is to be happy, regardless of the place. So I hope they are happy there.”
