The Nigeria international will reunite his old boss Claudio Ranieri as Leicester welcome the Italian’s Watford side to the King Power Stadium.

Wilfred Ndidi has thanked former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri for giving him his big break in the Premier League.

The Lagos-born midfielder was Ranieri’s final signing at Leicester in a €17.6 million deal from Belgian club Genk in January 2017, one month before the Italian’s dismissal that year.

He has since made 189 appearances at the King Power and will reunite with his old boss for the first time on Sunday for a Premier League match between Leicester and Watford.

“I’m very grateful to him because he gave me the opportunity to come to Leicester and play in the Premier League for the first time,” Ndidi told the CITY Matchday Magazine.

“That was a really important move in my career, so I’ll always remember it. Joining Leicester City has been fantastic for me. It’s a great club.”

Ndidi, who scored in the 3-1 Europa League win over Legia Warsaw midweek, hopes to help end Leicester’s three-match winless run in the Premier League. For pundit predictions, check out the link here.
