The Ghana international is set for another long spell on the sidelines after his latest injury setback.

Thomas Partey is set to be sidelined for six weeks as a result of a training injury.

The 30-year-old midfielder suffered an injury during training on Thursday. It caused him to miss Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Manchester United at the weekend. The Daily Mail has claimed he has an “upper leg muscular injury”. Tests have pinpointed the problem to be a “combination of a groin and thigh injury”.

The report adds that Partey faces six weeks out, and given his history with thigh injuries, Arsenal’s medical team won’t rush his return.

Arsenal have not specified an official timeframe for Partey yet, although manager Mikel Arteta admitted on Sunday that he expects the Ghanaian to be out “for weeks”.

Which games could Partey miss?

If this is the case, Partey may not play until October 16-22 at the earliest. This would cause him to miss around five or six Premier League games, as well as two Champions League fixtures and at least one EFL Cup tie.

Below is the list of matches Partey could miss.
