A dramatic comeback saw the Gunners beat Manchester United at Emirates.
Arsenal defeated Manchester United 3-1 in their Premier League game on Saturday. Late goals from Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus won the nail-biting clash for the hosts.
What happened?
Arsenal started the game on the front foot, while the Red Devils hoped to surprise the hosts with counter-attacks. The Gunners missed several big chances before they were stunned by United’s unexpected opener.
Following an assist from Christian Eriksen, Marcus Rashford latched onto the ball inside the box. The English forward then cut inside and unleashed a superb strike that found the back of the net after bouncing off the far post.
United’s celebrations, however, were short-lived, as Arsenal scored an instant equalizer. Just a minute after Rashford’s opener, Martin Odegaard’s inch-perfect low shot from the edge of the box brought the hosts back into the game.
After the break, Man Utd managed to create more chances compared to the first half, but Arsenal remained in charge of the game.
The Gunners had to wait until the 96th minute to finally complete their comeback at Etihad. Bokayo Saka’s corner found Declan Rice, who was unmarked on the left post. The Arsenal newboy then made it 2-1 as he drilled a powerful low shot past Andre Onana.
United pushed to escape the defeat in the final minutes, but their efforts only provided enough space for Arsenal to extend their lead. This time, a through ball from Fabio Vieira found Gabriel Jesus, who dribbled past Diogo Dalot before beating Onana with a cool finish.

Declan Rice made another fantastic display at the heart of Arsenal’s midfield line as they defeated Man Utd. The former West Ham star dominated the midfield as Arsenal pushed for the winning goal in the second half. He then went on to make it 2-1 for the Gunners with his first goal for the club.
