A shocking stat has shown just how vital Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal contributions have been for Manchester United.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s impact this season has not only kept Manchester United in the upper half of the Premier League, but helped the club stay in Europe.

Despite claims the Portuguese’s presence has been a hindrance, an astonishing stat has proved otherwise.

According to WhoScored, Manchester United would be only TEN points above the relegation zone without Ronaldo’s 19-goal contributions in the Premier League table this season.

The football statistics site claims Ronaldo has won around 15 points for the Red Devils.

Without CR7’s contributions, Ralf Rangnick’s side would be down in 13th place in the Premier League behind the likes of Brighton, Brentford, and Southampton.

Where are Man Utd with CR7?

Currently, Manchester United sit sixth in the Premier League table. They’re six points outside the top-four, having played a game more than Arsenal and Tottenham. They have just four games left before the season ends.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, is the third-highest scorer in the league with 16 goals and three assists.

The 37-year-old has scored seven goals in his last four league appearances, including match-winning hat-tricks against Tottenham and Norwich.
