The Austria international joined the Red Devils on the final day of the January transfer window.
Marcel Sabitzer is ready to make his Manchester United debut in their upcoming match against Crystal Palace, according to Erik ten Hag.
Christian Eriksen’s injury forced Man Utd to look for a new midfielder late in the January transfer window. The Red Devils managed to convince Bayern of a loan move for Marcel Sabitzer.
The Austrian arrived at Old Trafford on the transfer window’s deadline day. But Ten Hag says he’s already fit to make his first appearance in United’s jersey.
“Of course, he did only one session but you can see he’s a very fit player,” Ten Hag told reporters on Friday.
“I didn’t have different expectations coming from Bayern Munich, German, their fitness is always good. I think he is ready to play.
“I think he’s a really smart player and I think we gave him some guidance but he knows what to do, he knows the job.”
Last month, Palace held Man Utd to a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park with a late equalizer from Michael Olise.
Speaking about his side’s next Premier League clash, Ten Hag added: “We know a lot [about] them, they know a lot about us.
“We were really unhappy with our game at Crystal Palace so I demand a much better performance than in London, so we have a good chance to win.”
