According to Goal, the 41-year-old is a top priority for Villa to replace Dean Smith, who was let off by the club on Sunday after a weak beginning to the new campaign. It seems that the club will approach Rangers this week, as they want Gerrard on the books before the next game against Brighton on November 20.
West Ham not giving up on Simeone 🔁
As mentioned by the Daily Express, the Hammers will continue approaching for Cagliari forward Giovanni Simeone. West Ham made attempts to sign the 26-year-old during the summer but could not seal the agreement. Simeone is currently on loan at Hellas Verona, however, David Moyes’ side will plan to make a deal in January.
