Could the Mesut Ozil saga finally end? The 32-year-old’s Gunners career is effectively over unless Mikel Arteta makes a dramatic u-turn and recalls him for the squad. With this in mind, Ozil has begun talks with other clubs.

Ramos ‘rejects’ new Real Madrid contract
The Sergio Ramos contract saga has received a new twist. The Real Madrid skipper has reportedly rejected a one-year contract extension, leaving Los Blancos in a tricky situation. The club policy dictates that players over 30 only get another 12 months on their existing deals, but Ramos wants to be an exception.

Tottenham put contract talks for Kane & Son on hold
Harry Kane and Son Heung-min have supplied the goods regularly for Tottenham. The prolific pair are a key reason behind Spurs’ strong form this season, but the club board intend to put talks over new contracts on hold.

Alena set for Getafe move
Carles Alena is set to complete a loan move to Getafe. The midfielder, who celebrated his 23rd birthday on Tuesday, will stay with the Madrid-based club until the end of the La Liga season.
The Barcelona youngster has struggled for opportunities this season at Camp Nou and hopes a move to the Spanish capital will kick-start his career. Getafe have no buy option included in the loan agreement, though. [RAC1]
Liverpool enter the race for Alaba
David Alaba has refused a contract extension offer from Bayern Munich and, therefore, can leave in the summer as a free agent.
Several European giants have reportedly expressed an interest, but Real Madrid have apparently won the race. The defender could sign a four-year contract with the Spanish giants, worth a reported €10m.
