PSG make an offer to Pogba

Paris Saint-Germain have made an offer to Paul Pogba as he enters the final months of his Manchester United contract.

The Ligue 1 club’s offer, however, involves less money than the one United offered. Pogba is open to joining PSG this summer, but he would prefer a return to Juventus instead. [MEN]

Benfica striker Darwin Nunez has stirred transfer interest from the likes of Manchester United and Atletico Madrid.

In 35 appearances across all competitions this season, Nunez has scored 28 goals. The 22-year-old Uruguayan is six goals clear at the top of the scoring charts in Portugal. Former Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali is a free agent after Huesca ended his contract on Tuesday.

McClaren could be Ten Hag’s No. 2 at Manchester United

Former England manager Steve McClaren is under consideration to become Erik ten Hag’s No.2 at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag is under consideration for the Manchester United manager’s job. The Ajax boss previously worked as an assistant for McClaren during the Englishman’s spell in charge of Twente in 2008/09.

McClaren also served as an assistant between 1999 and 2001 under Sir Alex Ferguson. United claimed the treble at the end of his first season there. [Guardian]
