The Blues have offered a club-record transfer fee of €130 million to sign Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
The 21-year-old is one of the game’s most sought-after young midfielders. Aside from impressing at Benfica, he also played a key role in Argentina’s World Cup success. His performances in Qatar earned him the Best Young Player award in the FIFA tournament.

Shakhtar reject Arsenal’s first bid for Mudryk
Shakhtar Donetsk have rejected Arsenal’s opening offer of £55 million (€62m) for winger Mykhaylo Mudryk.
That said, Arsenal remain in talks with Shakhtar and are expected to make a second offer. Signing a wide forward is a priority for the Gunners in the January transfer window.
