The latest transfer rumors from around the footballing world, including Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and much more.

Chelsea lead chase for top defensive target Upamecano

The Blues are on the lookout for new defensive talent. Thiago Silva isn’t viewed as a long-term option, Fikayo Tomori is AC Milan transfer-bound until at least the end of the season, and Antonio Rudiger’s future remains doubtful.

RB Leipzig center-back Dayot Upamecano has, therefore, become a top target. The 22-year-old is a highly rated prospect and appears set for a summer transfer, with Chelsea leading the chase for his services. [Sky Germany – in German].

Sivasspor in talks with Pato

Alexandre Pato could be set for a return to Europe. The former AC Milan striker is a free agent after leaving Brazilian club Sao Paulo in August. He has allegedly entered talks with Turkish side Sivasspor for a transfer. [Fotospor – in Turkish]

Tottenham lead the chase for Ings

Danny Ings reportedly wants to play for a Champions League club again. Hence, the former Liverpool striker has refused to commit to a new contract with his current side Southampton.

The 28-year-old’s stance, along with his prolific form at St Mary’s, hasn’t gone unnoticed. Tottenham, for one, are now lining up a summer move for Ings. Despite boasting Harry Kane and Son Heung-min already, Jose Mourinho is determined to improve his squad. [Eurosport]

Lukaku rebuffs Man City interest

It’s alleged Manchester City have a budget of over €200m. Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku are rumored to be top transfer targets as Pep Guardiola seeks a boost in firepower for his squad.

But one man who is set to pass on Pep’s interest is Lukaku, who previously played for local rivals Manchester United between 2017 and 2019. [Express]

Barcelona’s Todibo to join Serie A next?

Jean-Clair Todibo’s loan spell at Portuguese club Benfica has been a disappointment. The 21-year-old has only made one appearance since recovering from an Achilles injury and appears transfer-bound once more.

The center-back, who spent last season on loan at Bundesliga side Schalke, could next head to Italy. Parma reportedly may sign him as an alternative for Medhi Benatia if the former Juventus defender’s transfer falls through. [Sky Sport Italia via Sport – in Spanish]

What will it take for Alli to join PSG?

It’s more of a question of when, rather than if, Dele Alli will leave Tottenham. The 24-year-old is out of favor under Jose Mourinho, who has granted him just 74 minutes of Premier League football this season.

Alli wants a reunion with former manager Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain, who want a loan deal with a buy option included. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, however, won’t name the French club a price. The only thing he has made clear is that there will be ‘no discount’. [Goal]

Arsenal suffer Buendia setback

While offloading players isn’t a problem in January, Arsenal have had no such luck in bringing in any new talent. The Gunners have already missed out on Dominik Szoboszlai, and it appears the Emi Buendia saga is heading the same way.

The Argentine midfielder’s club, Norwich City, have informed Arsenal that he won’t be leaving Carrow Road in the current transfer window. [Independent]
