Nemanja Matic is the latest Manchester United star to speak on the Red Devils’ alarming situation in front of goal.

Nemanja Matic says he isn’t all that bothered by United’s recent struggle in front of goal.

The Red Devils recorded their third successive goalless draw after another bore encounter against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

For a side who recently put nine past Southampton, it’s hard to believe a run of three games without a goal was possible.

Against Crystal Palace, a deflected effort from Matic in the 13th minute went on to be United’s only shot on goal throughout the game.

Regardless of their ‘slump’, the Serbian says confidence remains high in the Red Devils’ dressing room and they only need to attack better.

“I think that confidence, when you play for Man United, is not in question,” Matic said after the draw as per the club’s website.

“You have to go to every game with confidence because you know that you represent one of the biggest teams in the world. That’s why we are here. We have quality on the pitch and we have to show that on the pitch.”

Speaking on his side’s goal drought, Matic added: “It’s hard to explain. But I think that we have to do much better in these sorts of games, especially to create more opportunities, to risk more in their half, around their box.”

“Crystal Palace were very solid at the back. Their midfield dropped in a bit so it was very difficult to break through.”

“We have to give credit to them, but we know what we have to do. We need to do better in attack. We know these are games we have to win.”
