Thomas Tuchel feels Paris Saint-Germain should have been much more clinical in front of goal in their latest Ligue 1 outing.

Paris Saint-Germain comfortably squeezed all three points from their latest league match as they beat Stade de Reims 2-0 over the weekend.

It was Mauro Icardi whose name was twice on the scoresheet, with the former Inter Milan man finding the back of the net for the first time since February.

PSG played to their full strength in attack as all of Icardi, Angel Di Maria, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar were named in the starting XI.

An astonishing 21 shots, only a third of which were on target, were registered by the visitors as they largely dominated the game.

However, Thomas Tuchel was not entirely convinced with his side’s performance, suggesting that he would have liked to see a bigger scoreline.

“After 20 or 30 minutes we should be three or four up. We had a lot of chances and had 70 percent of the ball. If we put three or four chances away after 30 minutes, we have a different analysis, Tuchel told Telefoot, via Goal.

“The plan was to put Neymar close to Mbappe. We chose an offensive structure.

“So we can see that we missed a lot. The efficiency was not there. You can’t play a game like that. In the second half, we weren’t serious.”
