The Rossoneri put an end to their losing streak at home with a rather unconvincing Serie A victory on Sunday evening.
Simon Kjaer expressed his displeasure at AC Milan over “conceding really sh***y goals” after their 2-1 win over Genoa.
Milan took to the pitch at San Siro on the back of a dreadful run, having failed to pick up a win on home soil in their last 13 games across all competitions.
The Rossoneri’s previous home victory came against Crotone over two months back, but they were finally able to get back to winning ways on Sunday.
Ante Rebic’s first-half strike and an own goal from Gianluca Scamacca helped Milan record an unconvincing but much-needed 2-1 win over Genoa.
“This victory counts more than three points. It was not normal to be without a home win in seven games. We suffered a little in the second half today and we had to kill off the game earlier,” Kjaer told DAZN post-match, via Football Italia.
“It’s a step forward compared to the last few games.
“We keep conceding, excuse the language here, really s****y goals. Sometimes it happens. There are other periods when things go well.
“We need to push, we have seven finals ahead of us, and we want to bring Milan where we belong.”
