Aaron Wan-Bissaka has hailed one special trait from Bruno Fernandes that has seen him improve his game at Man United since the Portuguese arrived.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka says Bruno Fernandes is helping him take his game to another level since his arrival at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese has easily been the club’s best performer for the past year and he has been hailed a number of times for his leadership traits on the pitch.
Off the pitch, it appears Fernandes is the same and Wan-Bissaka has revealed just how the 26-year-old has made a big impact on his own performances.
Speaking to United Review, the defender reveals there is more to his Portuguese teammate than his sparkles and dazzles on the pitch.
“Bruno helps everyone – on and off the pitch,” he said.
“He tells me before the game what he thinks I should do and which positions he thinks I should get into when he gets the ball, and where I should be.”
“He has done it with the other players, and I can see that, along with the impact that he has made.”
“When I scored my goal [against Newcastle], he said he couldn’t believe I could shoot! That goal there was to show him!”
Fernandes has already made an impact at the club with his performances securing a top-four finish for United last term.
This season, his 11 Premier League goals means he is United’s top-scorer and they currently find themselves level on points with first-place Liverpool.
The comments from Wan-Bissaka would come as a breathe air for Ole Solskjaer with the Norwegian always intent on building unity at the club since he took over as manager in 2018.
