In yet another talent showcase for AC Milan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored more goals and reached an all-time record with the Italian giants.
We don’t need to tell you how important Zlatan Ibrahimovic is for modern football history and AC Milan. The Swedish forward started the 22nd top-flight season of his career since he started this crazy journey with Malmo. It’s been quite a ride for Zlatan and there’s no better way for him to continue his story than playing for AC Milan.
The Rossoneri are one of the clubs where he’s always felt more beloved. Ibra is proving that despite pushing 40 in a couple of years, he can still be that important player who can help his side compete for titles. Just last semester in Serie A, Zlatan helped AC Milan finish the season in top form.
For the new edition of the tournament, Ibra’s squad was facing Mihajlovic’s Bologna in the Serie A opener. This would be Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s 23rd season as a professional and the 22nd scoring goals if he found the back of the net.
A Zlatan header special.
It was only a matter of time before getting that goal from Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The giant jumped through the air to connect a cross sent by Theo Hernandez in order to score Milan’s goal. This was the record-breaking goal that left Ibra as one of the few players in the world to reach 22 straight top-flight seasons scoring goals.
Right after the break, Zlatan also scored a penalty in order to complete his brace against Bologna. He hadn’t scored two goals in San Siro since that Madonnina Derby from 2012 when his side won the Serie A for the last time. We have a feeling that the veteran striker will have a prolific season with his believed Rossoneri.
Cristiano Ronaldo better beware the Swedish forward and his never-ending goals. We always loved watching him shine but this season will be extra special because it could be his last. But then again, you never know what Zlatan has in store for you.
