In a major display of power vs Maccabi Haifa, Tottenham Hotspur got their Europa League group stage ticket in a seven-goal romp.

Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur was coming from a thrilling Carabao Cup match against Chelsea but they had to play the Europa League. Before the match against the Blues, Jose was ironic when he said he didn’t care much about winning the EFL competition. As it turns out, his players seem strong enough to play any tournament they want.

There are some players who performed in both matches but they still seemed eager to prove a point. After getting through a thrilling draw against Chelsea, the Spurs had to play Maccabi Haifa from Israel in the last playoff before the group stage. It’s safe to say they passed the test with flying colors. Jose Mourinho must be quite happy with his players’ performance this evening. Even Dele Alli delivered some amazing moments when he came on the pitch during the second half.

Harry Kane scores a hat-trick.

There are several players who performed fantastically this evening, but Harry Kane was the one who opened the way to a goal-fest. Both Bergwijn and Davies destroyed the opposition on the flanks, they dominated with crosses to the box. Kane got the initial goal after an assist from the Welsh full-back.

Maccabi Haifa seemed like they wanted to perform after a goal from Hery, but it was just for the show. After that, it was all Spurs going forward. Bergwijn set Lucas Moura up for the second goal. He was key in Giovani Lo Celso’s brace with Davies and Kane playing their part. The Englishman got his brace from the spot before Dele made his entrance.

Alli came on the pitch for Lo Celso from the start of the second half but he needed to get cozy. He made some interesting choices that eventually led to him scoring Tottenham’s seventh goal of the evening. This one came fifteen minutes after Kane’s hat-trick. The Spurs confirm their status as title contenders at the UEFA Europa League with this impressive performance.
