The RB Leipzig midfielder proved his money’s worth to Tottenham by scoring a brilliant 35-yard strike over the weekend.
While Tottenham’s forwards struggled to break down the West Ham defense in a 2-1 defeat on Sunday, Marcel Sabitzer was busy scoring a long-range screamer over in Germany.
The 26-year-old midfielder has reportedly caught Spurs manager Jose Mourinho’s interest, according to Bild. But whether or not this rumor is true, Sabitzer will certainly have left a few tongues wagging in London after his long-range belter against Hertha BSC.
The Austrian received the ball from near the halfway line, made a brief sprint, and then smashed the ball into the top corner of the Hertha goal.
It’s fair to say Hertha keeper Rune Jarstein stood no chance.
