A video footage of Gareth Bale in training for Tottenham has emerged and it’s safe to say Jose Mourinho is pleased with the Welshman.
Tottenham fans and Jose Mourinho have a reason to smile after a short clip of Bale in training showed some promise.
The Welshman has been working on his fitness since completing a season-long loan to North London from Real Madrid. It will be his second stint with Tottenham having established himself at the club from 2007-2013.
It would be interesting to see what Bale brings to the Spurs attack given how lethal they’ve been in front of goal at late. The latest of which was a 6-1 thrashing of Manchester United.
It means Spurs have now scored 23 goals across their past six matches in all competitions.
Fourteen of those goals have come from striker Harry Kane and winger Son Heung-min. No doubt Bale will look to join in on the fun in attack for Spurs.
There were questions of his fitness during his time at Real Madrid but the Welshman showed in a recent training he is in good shape for his second debut with Spurs.
In a video shared by Tottenham on Twitter, Bale can be seen scoring a selection of goals both in team exercises and in one-on-one drills against a goalkeeper. The highlight was a fine finish that found the top left-hand corner of the net.
Even better was the fact that Mourinho was audibly heard in the background. The gaffer seemed impressed with what he was saying from the 31-year-old.
It means Bale is now in line to at least play a part for Spurs when they take on West Ham in the Premier League after the international break.
