Lionel Messi shared a clip where he plays football with his two sons as the player enjoys family time on vacation in Ibiza.

It’s a tale as old as time, little kids wanting to follow in their father’s footsteps. We watched as Cristiano Jr. stepped onto the pitch with a Juventus jersey a few years ago, and now it looks like Messi’s kid might give him a run for his money.

Thiago and Matteo, aged 8 and 5, were filmed playing football while on vacation with his father Lionel. Clearly having fun with the ball, Matteo has received high praises from football fans. Although he’s quite young, anyone can tell he’s inherited a bit of his father’s magic.

Lionel Messi was seen in Barcelona this Wednesday, however, he quickly left the city to go to Ibiza. Although Cules were hoping the player would sign his new contract with the club, it looks like they might have to wait. The Messi family is enjoying a period off work alongside his former teammate Luis Suarez and his family. The Argentinian is expected back to seal his new deal later this weekend.

While we wait for news about Leo’s future, we might as well take a look and enjoy what may well be the future of football. Matteo and Thiago are very young, but we can’t forget that Lionel’s beautiful story started when he was only eight. After a wonderful season with an international title, there’s no doubt that Leo’s story is still far from over.
