The English full-back didn’t hesitate and sent a low pass in which Suarez could maneuver better. As a response, we finally saw him get to the ball and release a first-touch strike that allowed him to break that goal drought. With that confidence in his head, Luis got to score his brace after a precise cross from one end to the other delivered by Carrasco.
With these two goals, Atletico Madrid got back on track as the title contenders for La Liga. In the end, Diego Costa even got to score a goal on his return from a long injury recovery. But the man of the match was Luis Suarez, who finally found his goals again. Perfect timing for a player whom Atletico Madrid urgently needed.
