Athletic Club de Bilbao’s players found an unusual way of celebrating their Super Cup victory against Barcelona.

Just like Barcelona, Athletic’s players have also taken us by surprise. After winning the Spanish Super Cup against the Blaugrana, some elements of the first-team went a little crazy with their celebrations.

Six players were seen taking the stage at their hotel that night in Sevilla. In fact, the Lions decided to form an AC/DC tribute band and perform one of their greatest hits, “Highway to Hell“, to the rest of the guests.

In the video, we can see Dani Garcia playing the drums, Oscar de Marcos, Mikel Vesga and Mikel Balenziaga on guitar, Inigo Lekue on bass, and Asier Villalibre on vocals.

In fact, it was only fitting that Villalibre, who scored a 90-minute equalizer to send the Bilbao club to extra-time, should take the role of the lead singer. The 23-year-old delighted fans as he played a trumpet to lead his teammates’ chants on the pitch.

The players impressed as they managed to keep up with the challenging guitar solo, although it was performed at a slightly slower pace. After all, they are professional footballers, not professional musicians. However, we would’ve liked to hear Asier Villalibre imitating Brian Johnson’s falsetto style of singing.

Moreover, the squad’s performance could’ve been better described with Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven”. Perhaps the rendition of this particular song was also a shot at Barcelona’s current form.

Watch below as the new band on the block show off their artistic side to the sound of AC/DC.
