Donny Van de Beek is certain he will fit in at United and has expressed his desire to win silverware with the club.

Donny Van de Beek says he is ready to give his best for the Red Devils.

The Dutchman became United’s first signing of the summer window when he completed his move earlier today.

Van de Beek cost the Manchester side an initial 39m with a potential 5m resulting from add-ons.

The midfielder has now spoken at length about what Manchester United fans can expect from him.

“I’m a midfielder that likes to go into the box – making runs, goals, assists. A lot of the time, I cover a lot of distance in games, this is also a thing that is a strength for me, to get into the box of the opponent.” he said in an exclusive interview with the Man United website.

The Premier League is well known for its physical nature and many players have struggled to cope when arriving from foreign leagues.

Van de Beek says he is aware of this and adds that he is up to the task.

“Always when people tell you something about the Premier League, they tell you it’s really strong with heavy competition. I will see that. I want to work on my physicality, on everything, to make steps again, because for Holland I was strong and physically good, but now I want to make steps again to improve and help the club get prizes and titles.”

Finally, the midfielder said he was eager to see fans back in satdiums and echped his desire to win silverware with the club once again.

“I hope to see them soon in the stadium when it’s allowed after the coronavirus. I will give everything to the club and I hope we can take titles and a lot of prizes.”

Van de Beek comes in as an experienced midfielder and could add much needed depth to Ole Solskjaer’s squad. He will wear the no.34 jersey at the club.
