Luiz Suarez has been in quarantine for over two weeks and his latest test results have become available to the public.

Luiz Suarez had tested positive for Covid-19 during the last international break. Uruguay had an outbreak of Coronavirus, with 16 positive cases confirmed.

After missing his much-anticipated clash against Barcelona, the Uruguayan has finally tested negative for Covid-19. Therefore, he will be able to rejoin his teammates at their training sessions. The player has been training by himself after returning to his Spanish home.

In their official statement, Atletico de Madrid wrote: “Luis Suarez is to join the rest of the team in training on Friday after testing negative in LaLiga’s official PCR test. The Uruguayan, having followed the health protocols, has recovered from COVID-19 and is to join Simeone and the team.”

Having only scored three goals in the last four matches, the Colchoneros will be thrilled with the latest news. Moreover, Suarez will be available to help out Atletico de Madrid secure La Liga’s top spot against Real Valladolid.
