We have the latest update on Ansu Fati’s knee injury recovery at FC Barcelona, as well as a time frame for his possible return to activity.

In November last year, Ansu Fati suffered a meniscus laceration injury that threatened to keep him out of the game for several months. Initially, the first scans suggested he would be able to play four months after the issue. Once the surgery took place, the doctors were cautious with their predictions but they remained hopeful. Three weeks ago, Ronald Koeman himself revealed that the youngster’s recovery was going unusually faster than expected.

The latest update just came earlier today with even more amazing news from journalist Marcelo Bechler, who covers all things FC Barcelona. According to the journalist, the latest injury report he got is quite encouraging with Ansu Fati. The player is taking significantly less time than expected to recover from his knee problems. Bechler even dared to give a time-frame for a possible return to action.

Ansu Fati has PSG on sight.

Bechler reported that the club’s medical team is quite optimistic with Ansu Fati’s recovery, to the point of having a time-frame for his return. FC Barcelona plays the Champions League Round of 16’s first-leg on February 16 at Camp Nou. The doctors believe Ansu Fati will return to practice a week before that, which means he could return for that game in time.

According to the report, it appears Ansu Fati’s physical attributes are the reason he is recovering so quickly. If everything goes according to plan, the youngster will return to full activity at least a month ahead of schedule. However, we all wonder if Fati can return to the same level he had before the injury. Everybody knows how difficult these recoveries can become. Only a select group of players can return to their highest level of performance. Is Ansu Fati amongst this group?
