Manchester United have been linked with the addition of Donny Van de Beek but the Dutch midfielder is not perturbed by transfer news.

Manchester United want to bolster their midfield and Donny van de Beek is seen as a perfect addition. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer want a combative goal scoring midfielder and the Dutchman is seen as a perfect addition.

United are not the only side seeking his signature. Real Madrid are also in the fray. Los Blancos have been keeping tabs on him since their last season’s Champions League meeting with Ajax.

Ajax have admitted that interest is high for the Dutch international’s services. Erik ten Haag even shared that the club have an understanding of letting him leave for the right club.

With all the speculation around his future, Van de Beek is keeping calm. The Nijkerkerveen native stated that due to the coronavirus pandemic, it is a difficult scenario.

Van de Beek does not have any issues with prolonging his stay at Ajax. He shared that he is proud to be at his boyhood club and reflected on the good times he has had at Johan Cruyff Arena.

“It is very messy, in any case a very messy period in terms of transfers,” de Beek told Fox Sports.

“Nothing is certain yet. I am still a player of Ajax and I am still proud to be there.”

“If there had not been the coronavirus, it might have been different now. There is no clarity now and we have to wait and see how it turns out.”

“I’m still here and after all these years I still have a lot of fun. If I also play at Ajax next season, I still have a lot of fun. You won’t hear me complaining.”
